A Woman’s Daybook For Today...

Outside my Window...We are in a freezing fog pattern, but I did hear rumblings of snow this weekend.

I am thinking.... my Dictionary Word of the Day for Tuesday was: pandiculation \pan-dik-yuh-LEY-shuhn\, noun: an instinctive stretching, as on awakening or while yawning. I have always loved what I now know to be a pandiculation that babies will do with their fists closed, that moment of awakening always melts my heart. Thinking about my babies who have made that movement (who are now almost an adult and almost a teenager) was a tender moment.

From the learning rooms...The oldest still hasn’t found a volunteer opportunity, bangs head on desk. The X-man finished the third Charlie Bone book and I just ordered the fourth for him.

I am thankful for...health, happiness and love

From the kitchen…I’m thinking of asking Dh to make his version of spanakopita, and probably Artisan Bread on the side.

I am wearing... a blue sweater I got for Christmas, a black skirt, and black tights.

I am reading...The Story of Edgar Sawtelle for Book Club. I’m not loving it.

I am hoping...that my boys know how much I love them and wish the best for them. It’s hard to believe how much they have grown since those infant days.

I am creating...a giveaway, yanked from Laura’s Blog:
The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me. It will be about or tailored to those five people.

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
- What I create will be just for you.
- It’ll be completed this year.
- You have no clue what it’s going to be or when its going to be. It may be fiction. It may be poetry. I may draw or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that’s for sure!
- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you have to put this in your journal as well, if you expect me to do something for you!

I am hearing..So Alive by Love and Rockets I’ve always loved the lyrics of this song.

Around the house...I am so glad that we had our Houseblessing on Monday (and it went very well, thank you) as we are refinancing and the appraiser comes tomorrow.

One of my favorite things...I appreciated everyone’s comments about my book list. I do read fast, but am way outpaced by my mother. My Dh is a much slower reader; he tends to work for months on one book.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...tonight, cleaning for the appraiser. Saturday both scrapbooking and a dinner for Dh’s work.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...Ready for the Houseblessing.
