Breadboxes and Math. Stacy asked me why my Blog is called “Bigger than a Breadbox”. Truthfully, I always said that if I had a band (not going to happen, trust me) I’d call it “Bigger than a Breadbox”. Someone beat me to it, but it was always a thought. So, it seemed natural to use the name for my blog. Although, Presbytera Elizabeth says that it is indicative of a comfort in my self and body, and that is certainly something I want to emulate, so I like that too. Ironically (to me, anyway) I keep my bread in the refrigerator.
Math – Ok, I know someone out there will know this answer. How do you solve a question that says, “John and Mary live 50 miles away from each other. They both leave at 5pm, driving towards each other. John drives at 35 MPH, Mary at 40 MPH. What time do they meet?” Xavier asked me that, and I don’t know the answer.
Early Spring – it is really starting to feel like Spring here – flowers are blooming, the skies are rainy and then sunny, and the temperature is fluctuating wildly (I hear talk of snow early this week). I guess, since it is an early Lent, it makes sense that it will be an early Spring
