Sometimes, I treat myself to buying Take Ten magazines on the half off table at my LSS (that’s local scrapbook store, for those not up on scrapping lingo). It is a window into a world that some like the birthday girl Nancy live in, and some like me just get to visit now and then. I like to take several days to read through all the amazing ideas – usually I read just a page or two each morning while eating breakfast. I am continually inspired by the ways that paper is used, and the ideas for using my many, many supplies (or scrap cr*p for those not up on the lingo, or my husband).
Recently, I noted a brilliant (and so simple in retrospect) idea of stamping your art twice – once on the cardstock, and then once on patterned paper, and using the patterned paper to accent the cardstock I played with the idea, and created these cards for friends with January birthday (including my much craftier twin, Simone. Check out what her talented son did with the idea too).
Stamp by Cat’s Life Press , patterned paper free from Stampington.
