Goodbye and Godspeed!

My dear friend Dawn is moving to California for love (and who can fault that decision?) so I traveled up to her parish on Sunday and attended a lovely Liturgy (the mission is growing by leaps and bounds) saw good friends and a new grandmother even (I can't get J's blog to load, but hi)! Our time to talk was short, but I did snap this photo as we were chatting at the end (there was one of the two of us, but it was particularly bad of me, so I’m hoping the one she took was better)*

Then, I zipped home and we hosted the Mousethief family to watch a well played Superbowl. I’m not a huge football fan, but the game was good, the results unexpected, the company great, commercials a treat and the snacks absolutely fabulous. Unfortunately, the littlest Mousethief was not feeling well, so they left pretty quickly after the game was over (which was ok, because I’d gotten too dehydrated and ended up napping for a bit as I had a headache). While I was napping, I heard this exchange after Xavier was bouncing a ball in the house. - Crash. “Your mom will be pretty upset you broke that”. Groan. Thankfully, super glue seemed to have worked on the wine glass.

*side note – I got a hair cut on Saturday that didn’t work out so well. Today when I was fiddling with it while looking at my reflection, I ran into a wall with my elbow, ouch. Which goes to show once again - vanity is bad for you.
