My Peculiar Aristocratic Title is:

Get your Peculiar Aristocratic Title

Shamelessly copped from Ian, I too had to look up where my dominion is. Being of Scots background, it seems appropriate. As does, gulp, the abrupt part.

This morning, driving to work (late, we are getting hammered by snow again – while it is so gorgeous, we haven’t been over 35 degrees for days), I couldn’t settle on a radio station, I turned station to station to station. I turned on the MP3 player and turned it off, I finally hit on the NPR station (not even the one I usually listen to) and discovered this gem of an interview with Colum McCann about his new book Zoli about a Romani (Gypsy) Poet in the 1930s.

In college, I immersed myself in Romani history for a paper, and have always been interested in their story. It was a lovely interview to listen to, and the book is on the way to me.

It felt like there was a reason I didn’t settle on a station.

Stay safe and warm, and enjoy a good book.
