This morning, driving to work (late, we are getting hammered by snow again – while it is so gorgeous, we haven’t been over 35 degrees for days), I couldn’t settle on a radio station, I turned station to station to station. I turned on the MP3 player and turned it off, I finally hit on the NPR station (not even the one I usually listen to) and discovered this gem of an interview
with Colum McCann about his new book
Zoli about a Romani (Gypsy) Poet in the 1930s.
In college, I immersed myself in
Romani history for a paper, and have always been interested in their story. It was a lovely interview to listen to, and the book is on the way to me.
It felt like there was a reason I didn’t settle on a station.
Stay safe and warm, and enjoy a good book.
