A Simple Woman’s Daybook*
For Today...
Outside my Window...it is grey, but thankfully not raining.
I am thinking....about this good news
From the learning rooms...The oldest needs to find a volunteer opportunity and doesn’t “want anything with people” – I’m thinking tough luck.
I am thankful for...the chance to admire and hold a brand new baby yesterday(and to visit with his mom, a lovely friend!) Thanks again!
From the kitchen…I have a meeting tonight, so I’ll probably eat Subway. Yum, eh?
I am wearing... a brown skirt with embroidery, a cozy brown sweater, and my new oxfords.
I am reading...a fantastic historical fiction A Rose for the Crown
by Anne Easter Smith about Richard III and his (fictional) love (but it is known he had children prior to his marriage), for an online Historical Fiction book club I participate in.
I am hoping....for peace, comfort and healing for those who are in need.
I am creating...nothing exciting right now – I need to print some photos for scrapping next weekend.
I am hearing...”Over The Hills and Far Away” by Led Zeppelin. I’ve mentioned before that I’m not a Led fan, and have to admit, the beginning of the song always makes me think of Jerry Lewis (‘hey lady’)
Around the house...I am cleaning and reorganizing for our houseblessing next week.
One of my favorite things...It is Sweetheart season, I need to pick up a package (or ten)
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...tonight and Saturday I have meetings, a movie with a friend on Thursday, maybe an author’s reading tomorrow night.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...Father Christopher of Poulsbo’s Mission at the Theophany blessing – isn’t that an amazing photo?

*The name of this could lead to confusion. It is the simple daybook of a woman, not the daybook of a simple woman, just to clarify.

lots of meetings you have this week! wow!
i also would never think of you as as simple, ... though it would be lovely to be of one mind and of one deliberation... it seems that our lives twist us in two many directions...
take good care!
Great photo and good things to be thankful for:).

Nothing beats new shoes. Birkenstock has had some good clearance sales lately...sigh.
I love the photo of Fr. Christopher!! Too awesome! He and Fr. Justin are good friends. Any chance I could get a copy for Fr. Justin, maybe via kodak gallery or someplace I could order a copy? He would love it.
