We had our annual House Blessing yesterday. After I’d worked on cleaning the house last Monday, it was mostly just keeping the house clean, de-cluttered, mopping, and (thank you) Eddie steam cleaned the carpets using a friend’s cleaner (thanks, Mary!).
As I’m sure Gregory will wonder, Bridget did come say hi to Father John, but it was after the blessing. I think that he did get to bless her on our rounds of the house, though.
The kids and I had a lovely chat with Father and Matushka after the blessing over some brie and crackers.
And, then, after they left to go on to the next house, we watched the Seahawks make the Super Bowl. Not being football watchers, we certainly fall into the “fair weather” fans category, but it was a good game anyway.

i hate to break it to you, but the steelers have a distinct advantage in the super bowl: i'll be cheering for the seahawks. that's the kiss of death.
sorry.
What a beautiful blessing.
We're sort of fair weather fans too--we only watched the Red Sox when they were in the playoffs and the World Series and did the same with the Patriots. Of course, we were majorly disappointed that they didn't make the Super Bowl this year. What's up with that? :)
I love the idea of an *annual* house blessing!
In other news, you've been tagged (again! LOL)
It should be a good game this year. My team didn't make it but that's okay...they are the laughing stock anyways.
Um, my pick is Steelers over the Seahawks, 30-17
annual house blessing! What a wonderful idea :)
