I love this photo – I’m not sure if it should be titled “Premeditation” or “Anticipation”. So far, the older cat has not gotten a fish, although she looks a lot, and she has not offed the younger cat, which can be seen plotting her next bat in the photo above. As I told Gregory
the tabby (Orca) is the one who got off the bed in light speed during a house blessing, and the calico (Bridget) is the one who was blessed two years ago after following Father John around. We haven’t had our House Blessing this year, but I’ll keep you posted on what mischief they get into this year.
Some follow up thoughts to share.
Herman sent me this article of St. Herman’s Church in Port Townsend’s Theophany celebration.
You can see articles on the Tarpon Spring’s Centennial here, here, and on the GOA's website. Patriarch Bartholomew flew on to New Orleans.
Around the Blogworld, you can see great photos of Theophany from Dawn, Huw Raphael, and Presbytera Lisa (I love how her mom’s Vasilopita has a coin for each child, grandparents are awesome!)
On another note, the aforementioned Bridget helped me de-decorate on Friday. Since I began to take off ornaments, when I came back after putting some stuff away, I found a nice little pile of ornaments she’d taken off for me.
Enjoy this wintry day and the afterfeast of Theophany if you are on the New Calendar and the 12 Days of Christmas for those on the Old Calendar!

That picture reminds me of friends I had who did not have a TV and so they would set their baby in front of the fish tank for her to watch... Fish-TV
I think those fish are the ones in need of a blessing!
You know friday was a nice day. It felt very Easter-ee, like the first day of spring or summer. You felt like something good was going to happen. Like someone was smiling down on you from heaven. Must have been all the energy from the Theophany celebration. :)
Your cats look like they get hours of enjoyment from that tank!! :)
That pic is so funny!
cute photo...How long does he sit there? I wonder if he thinks it is a tv sitcom? lol
cute picture of the cats.
I do think she thinks it's tv. Thanks for enjoying the photo.
Yes, Incredible Edna, those fish are in need of a blessing. I'm glad you enjoyed the Feast on the 6th, it was just for you as it is not Eastery at all here.
