Fresh from the Farm! Our first CSA delivery was yesterday, and doesn't it look yummy? Fresh lettuce, arugula, radishes (a particular favorite of my oldest), and baby bok choy.

Tonight, we are having falafel, pita, lettuce, feta, and hummus. Yum!

Enjoy the fresh bounty from where you are too!

Hold on....it's not a fast-day! That sounds scrumptious, but like a totally fasting dinner.

Yah - I was thinking the same thing, Marfa! I'm having a hamburger for supper - but those veggies are so beautiful, I might change my mind if they were all in my kitchen!

Yum indeed, Mimi. I've started growing herbs on my patio (cilantro and basil). Here's hoping I don't kill 'em...

It all looks great! I can't wait for us to start getting veggies in our home garden later in the summer!

My CSA is going to start delivery a couple of weeks late - weather has not been cooperative. :(

Hey stranger! Thanks for the comment. :) Your veggies look wonderful...I had an opportunity to split a CSA membership with another family, and I'm kicking myself now for not doing it. Enjoy yours!

beats the heck out of cold cereal which is all I was planning on eating tonight. My beloved is out of town and I'm not one to cook just for myself. But hey, you've inspired me. I bet I could make some falafel which he doesn't particularly like.... I don't have the gorgeous veggie bounty you do, but there's probably some bag-o-salad in the frige. I think I'm getting hungry!

Thanks for the link. Too late to do summer, but there's a year-round program with pick up near my new house.

Papa Herman - you have an open invitation to my place for dinner. Actually, everyone does.

I have to check out if we have this service in Toronto - those veggies look so good and fresh!

Thanks for stopping by and sharing my harvest. Ooooh, your vegetables look good too! I wish we had a CSA around here. Just this summer my little town started a Farmer's Market of only local growers. That should be a treat!

I've really been reflecting on this sort of food/environment issue lately, reading a book called From Farm to Table. I'll post on it soon and look forward to your input.
