We are coming off an unseasonably warm weekend – we hit 90 on Saturday, and the forecasted cool down didn’t happen on Sunday. This morning, we had a beautiful rain storm – I love the earthy smell and the greenness when it rains after a couple of days of heat – this is something I missed growing up in Northern California, and one of the major reasons I headed to the Northwest.

I have been fortunate to attend stamping workshops these past few months, one is a monthly commitment with my dear friend who sells CTMH, we have been working on a layout and bonus project each month, and another with a delightful woman in my neighborhood who sells Stampin Up.

This weekend was the SU workshop, next week is the CTMH. One thing that I have been discovering about myself, and getting good-naturedly teased by my co-attendees is apparently, and I’m not sure how this works, I am quite quick when it comes to assembling pre-planned projects. I am not quite to the speediness of my awesome Goddaughter, but came late and was the first one finished on Saturday.

It is an interesting thing to ponder. I suspect it is because I am not a perfectionist when it comes to my paper crafts – there’s always next time if I botch it. And, a bit of haphazardness adds to the charm, I think.

Anyway, I made eight wonderful cards on Saturday, did a bit of shopping, and am in the crafting groove, I want to finish up some pages tonight, and finish some cards I was working on this past week.

Can you please blow your unseasonably warm weather towards New England?

The coldest Spring of my lifetime...

I'm with Brendan. Though I don't live in New England, I'm still wearing flannel lined jeans and two sweaters 'cause I'm freezing my BUTT off!

Cards, how fun; I'd love to see them.

I was just thinking the other day about how much I miss my Grand Junction stamping group. I haven't made anything in ages, really... it really helps to get together with others & let the juices flow!

I'll make some cards this weekend and post photos, thanks for the kudos.

I have to admit, giggling, though that I pulled out one of them that I made the other day and discovered I'd made it upside down and backwards. Haphazardness charm all over the place ;)

Well, while we had some unseasonably warm weather, we are back to windy, cold and rainy. It is May after all.

good not to be a perfectionist - I've been learning that good enough means just that - it's GOOD :)
