The School Year Begins! The kids bundled off to school this morning - both of them on the bus. I did snap lots of photos (oh the joys of having a scrapbooking mother).

I checked the bus schedule online, and found Xavier's bus came about twenty minutes later this year. I learned to do this because last year, I sent Cedric off early and they had changed the schedule. So, armed with this info, I was puttering around the house, opened up the garage door to a gaggle of kids ready to walk with Xavy. Apparently, I was the only mom in the subdivision to check. So the kids played while the parents had a nice chat outside, which was good. It's always good to find out the neighborhood news.

May it be a fruitful, peaceful and blessed school year to everyone!

Tuesday started the first school day for St. Basil's Academy here in Walla Walla... (St. Basil's is connected to St. Silouan's Church here in W2.)

My wife commented regarding how the kids were acting like it had been a year that they had seen each other (truth is, for most of them it had only been since the previous Sunday.)

And like all of the parents gathered outside of your garage, even after the kids went to class parents lagged behind talking with each other.

A wonderful school year to Cedric and Xavier!

Ugh...y'all start later than us, huh?

We're three and a half weeks in already...

Bless y'all, too. :-)

Mimi,

Hope all turned out well for your childrens return to school. Ours went back on Tuesday as you know. (ours had 6 weeks off)

I'm so glad that you had the foresight to check up on the times, often such things get overlooked and then things go pear shaped.

Hope your children settle back into school okay after their summer break :-)

I was a nice mom this year, I only took pictures in front of the house because I was told, "No pictures at school this year, puhleeeeeeze!!!"
I keep looking for signs of a bus that may take Max to school but so far, no luck. I can't be the taxi all year.
Best wishes to a great school year!!

its weird... i have a recurring dream that i missed the school bus.
