In the House of Bamboo (or at least with the bamboo floor). After we had the dishwasher fiasco, we dithered for quite a while as to what to replace the flooring with. Then, it took us a long time to get someone to lay the flooring (turns out, the father figure of one of Xavier’s friends does it, and did a fabulous job). Finally, we have new bamboo flooring in our kitchen, dining and powder room. Ultimately, I’d like to take it throughout the downstairs, up the stairs, in the loft and master bedroom.
We got ours at Costco, but I don't see any there. You can also get it at Lumber Liquidators.
It cleans up very nicely, has a great feel, and with our mob of mops, is easy to clean.

I love your kitchen! I particularly like your flooring and cupboards. Must be a pleasure to cook in :-)
I will have to check this out. We had wood flooring (although just parquet) at our old house and I loved it. We're looking to replace our crumbling tile.
Your kitchen looks lovely.
WOW, Mimi, it's GORGEOUS! We did our kitchen floor in wood-look vinyl, and I really wish we'd opted for wood -- you can tell this isn't wood. Was it horribly expensive, may I ask?
Very nice indeed.
You take a stick of bamboo,
And you throw it on the flo-o-or...
Looks great!
beautiful :) so light and spaceous!
Love the kitchen, so bright and friendly. That bamboo looks great and what mop??
Thanks for the Feast Day wishes my dear!
God's blessing be unto you and yours this fine day!
Such a beautiful kitchen! So much light, and that floor is great, congratulations! I am envious of all kitchens with windows :)
Oh, Mimi, the floor is beautiful!! I love wood floors, but alas, I live in an apartment and have wall-to-wall carpeting, which I hate.
:-(
very very nice, indeed.
Watch out for the Panda's, though.
LOVE it.
It looks lovely.
How lovely!!!
I love your new floors. We did wood laminate floors last year throughout the house and we love them. Enjoy yours and the easy cleanup they provide! :)
Still reeling from my dishwasher's failed heating element induced leak. 15k and still going. Thank goodness for insurance. I hope our house comes out looking so good!
i love it..we have a few wooden floors....
Beautiful floor, Mimi! My parents just put bamboo in their kitchen, too, as part of a green remodel--they love it. Definitely on our list for if/when we ever own a house again.
Must be a pleasure to cook in :-) Well, now, let's not go crazy talking, bwahahahahahhahahaa. My Dh loves to cook in it. I clean up, that's our bargain.
Thanks for the kind words, I do enjoy it.
