Aprons- This is odd, I’ve not worn one since I was about ten, but I was just given one, and I do wear it now and then when I do dishes in the morning. It saves me from having to change my work clothes.
Baking— I’m not a cook, but I do enjoy baking (mostly because I like to eat the dough). I have a great Herb and Garlic Focaccia bread recipe.
Clothesline- I like my dryer. I just throw the things over the door to my closet that need to hang dry.
Donuts—Not only have I never made them, I don’t think I’ve ever eaten homemade donuts. That sounds lovely.
One homemaking thing you do every day—Run a load of laundry.
Freezer-- Do you have a separate deep freeze? It’s on our “to buy” list – our freezer is pretty small and we like to put up veggies and fruit in the summer.
Garbage Disposal-- Y/N? No. It was an upgrade when we built, and we have not installed one....
I seem to have lost my middle letters of the alphabet - so catching up to
Nylons - I don't wear nylons, I buy a pair of tights and just throw those in the wash. The best answer to this question was Deb's though, - go read and enjoy.
Oven-- Do you use the window or open the door to check? Even though I have a window, I usually open it.
Pizza-- What do you put on yours? Cheese usually. My favorite is feta with pesto.
Quiet—Read, scrapbook, work on the computer. I should be exercising.
Recipe Card Box Y/N? No. I have a three ring binder I put our recipes in.
Style of house—The first twostory I have ever lived in.
Tablecloths and napkins? No. I do use cloth towels instead of paper napkins.
Under the kitchen sink-- organized or toxic wasteland – I keep the garbage and recycling there.
Vacuum-- how many times per week? This is an Eddie job.
Wash-- How many loads of laundry do you do in a week? I do at least one a day – so between 7-10.
X's-- Do you keep a daily list of things to do and cross them off? If I need to remember to do something, yes.
Yard-- Who does what? I have a black thumb. The less time I spend in the yard, the better for the plants.
Zzz's--What is your last homemaking task for the day before going to bed? I usually do my chores in the morning, so nothing.
Anyone who wants to play, do and let me know.
I've also taken the plunge and upgraded my Blogger account - let me know if it is giving you any issus.

Mimi, you sound pretty organized. I'm surprised at how many of us despise nylons. I certainly always have but I didn't know I was in such good company. Thanks for sharing. (And we all seem to be developing an interest in aprons too.)
I think aprons must be coming back into style. I almost never wear one, but I pulled one out when I was making Christmas cookies with my ten-year-old friend, and offered him one--he looked quite appalled! LOL!
Nylons are a tool of Satan. Harumph. That having been said, I'm sure when I go back to work I'll have to wear the !#$@ things.
I wear aprons a LOT, sometimes most of the day. Saves on the laundry, and it actually puts me in a more productive frame of mind. All of us have them (DH, and DS 10 and DS 5), and even the boys use them when cooking (they're manly aprons, though!)
I agree about the aprons because I've never worn one in the past but have had a hankering to get one for a few months. I think its because I tired of ruining my clothes.
And I must be doing something wrong because we do almost the same amount of laundry in a week. Either that or my kids have too many clothes to keep them going longer between washings!
I am so not a domestic person, I am like a reluctant child that has to do chores but waits til the last possible second. LOL
But I love aprons, I am working on making my own as my very first sewing project with a real pattern.
I played tag with you Mimi! It was fun!
ah aprons. i have 5. yep. and i drilled a small IKEA nob-hanging thing in my kicthen, where all my aprons are now, except the one that is hanging up in the bathroom, i think! :)
i am a messy cook and baker and use them quite often.
fun domestic post. sigh. :)
I Mimi...I'm on my way back to blogland...having fun catching-up on the posts.
This was a cute meme...I might give it a try on my blog just to shake off the cobwebs a bit!
BTW...I LOVE aprons!!
For whatever it is worth... I am a fan of a compost bucket near the sink over the use of a garbage disposal.
Get a compost pile going outside, and dump away.
What does upgrading your Blogger account do to it?
Get a compost pile going outside, and dump away.
Actually, Papa Herman, that is what we have - a bowl that I toss all compostable things into - and we put it into the Compost pile/racoon feeder.
I like what you said about the vacuuming, Mimi. We all need an 'Eddie', don't we!!! I must remember to put one on my shopping list :-)
This whole apron thing...I find it sooooo cute...what is going on?
Fine with me...they are adoraable! I may just have to make some now and give them as presents. Whether they are ever worn or not...you could do some fun things with them. I have this cute little girls red and white gingham dress with a white apron on it and it has two pockets and is on this little hanger...I have it on my kitchen wall and this is where I place my bills...makes bill paying more fun...did I say that????? ROFL! SINCERELY though, it does something in my soul before I pay bills and the attitude is different...I know, go ahead say it...she is REALLY strange! Love ya! Suzanne
When I click the hotlink you have for Deb it takes me to the Better Homes & Garden cookbook instead of to her comments. Curious.
Oh girl, you are so busted! I found your blog. That's what happens when you tell real life friends that you have one! You missed an awful basketball game last night. Lucky you!
Hey! Come see my new pretty Alexa made for me! :)
My domestic days are over - I paid my dues for 13 years as a SAHM! LOL
