Before Christmas, my SIL called to tell me that she’d decided to buy Xavier (10) a subscription to Sport’s Illustrated for his gift. We talked about it, and how the adult version was probably better than the kids because it came once a week, and he had the reading level to follow it.

We braniacs forgot about this little issue though, but it was brought up at the family Christmas party. So, even though it arrived yesterday, this one is one that Xavy will NOT be reading – hopefully nothing is serialized in there that he’ll miss for next week.

Happy day after Valentine’s Day. Hope it was a good one (our dumpster caught on fire at work, that was my excitement).

Crikey! Y'know what, I'd give him the copy, after I'd doodled some modesty on her body, in the form of a beurka perhaps ;-)

Wow.. not something I would want a 10 year old to be "reading".

That was a great job of "interferance". Great block. Just goes to show, mothers are "faster than a speeding bullet" and I bet they leap a tall building in a single bound.

God bless.

I hope you also tell Sports Illustrated of your disappointment that they publish this issue. Maybe adding that had you remembered this issue you might not have subscribed....It's important that they know that not everybody approves, don't you think?

If you just heard a giant scream from up the street it's because I just realized B bought D a subscription too! He's been getting the "kid" version for about 2 years now and wanted the "adult magazine." I guess I really should call it that, huh?

Maybe you could request that your subscription be extended one issue, and explain why?

I am POSITIVE that my husband would be willing to take that issue off your hands! LOL But I'd rather it stayed at your house hidden away! :)~~
