A Woman’s Daybook for Friday, February 06, 2009
Outside my window...it’s been raining today – I love these grey winter days. For the past week it has been clear and sunny.
I am thinking...how lovely it was to meet a new blog friend last Saturday, I was embarrassingly late, hopefully next time we meet, I’ll be on time.
I am thankful for...Good friends – we enjoyed watching the Super Bowl with the Mousethief family, and my amazing husband made a fantastic dinner.
From the learning rooms...new semester for the boys, changing classrooms and classes – the X-man is excited to be in PE again (after a semester of Health). The Oldest finally got his volunteer opportunity sorted out (yay!)
From the kitchen...I don’t know. Probably soup. It's grocery shopping day tonight.
I am wearing...Red. Dh’s gift to me this Christmas was a fantastic red sweater hoodie that I have with a jean skirt, and pair of blue Mary Janes. I’m realizing I need a new pair of white trouser socks.
I am creating...I’m so excited to be cropping this weekend. I have several projects in my “to do” pile
I am going...home soon.
I am reading...Last night, I finished a fantastic (if difficult) book about the Romani experience during World War II, Fires in the Dark by Louise Doughty. Tonight, I’m planning on starting this month's seclection for an online book club.
I am hoping...to get back on track to lose about ten pounds. I’m feeling a bit frumpy.
I am hearing...commercials on the radio
Around the house...I need to do dishes tonight and start a new batch of bread dough
One of my favorite things...I've been having fun on Facebook lately.
A few plans for the rest of the week: cropping tomorrow, a party on Sunday afternoon and the Symphony that evening.
Here is picture thought I am sharing..my boss took this earlier this week at a house we were previewing.

nice! fun things, great skirt, cool boots. yay!
Love the skirt and boots!
I think you're the first one I've told that I actually watched the Super Bowl for the first time this year!!! Our friends were here and wanted to see it. It was a good excuse to eat pistachios and chips.
Hmmmm... either you're fibbing about it being you in the skirt or you're fibbing about being frumpy.. can't have it both ways
;-)
i lurve those boots! And what i wouldn't do for a waist like yours!
BUT....Where are you? LOL! Very nice skirt and boots. :)
I'm hearing you on the ten pounds! I have flaked out on my exercise routine since Christmas, but am ready to get going again. Cute skirt! And I've been having fun on Facebook lately too. It's a nice quick way to connect. Have a great week!
You don't look like you could lose ten pounds
Ooh, that book sounds great!
I wish I could rock a skirt as well as you can. I'm a pants girl.
This was a fun one! Lovely skirt, and I want some Mary-Janes!
Very cute outfit. I think we may have the same pair of boots :)
Hope you enjoyed getting caught up over the weekend.
Thank you for the skirt and boot compliments. I do agree, Dh rocked the boot selection, and it is a pretty skirt.
I also appreciate the compliments about my size. Unfortunately, I am feeling frumpy in my back and thighs (I don't know what shape that makes me, but those are the two spots I put on weight first). I've been slowly but surely beginning to watch what I eat again, and to exercise.
Whohoooo Meadowlark for watching the game, it was a good one, wasn't it?
Thanks, Janelle. I do wear a lot of skirts.
MPN - everyone needs a good pair of Mary Janes.
And, squeal! Margi! It is fantastic to see you~
cute picture but, where's your head?!?
