A Snowy Day
We woke up to snow yesterday, but it was a light dusting. We dressed warmly to attend church, but quickly outpaced the snow on our way there (much to my children’s disappointment) . Today, we had another bit, which added to yesterday’s bit equals a two hour snow delay for the kids. It’s beautiful to look at, and I like snow a lot. However, I’m also glad that it only happens a couple of times a year. I hear we will be in a snow pattern for the next few days, so we may have more beautiful and peaceful mornings here.

Thank you to everyone for your prayers and sympathy to our parish. The funeral is on Wednesday night with a Liturgy and burial on Thursday morning. If you are in the area and would like to attend – please email me and I can get the information to you.
Also, belated thanks for your suggestions and prayers for my Xavier (10). Things have smoothed out, and I have put some of your advice into practice

Memory eternal to you dear deacon Joseph and the young Alex. How tragic. You and your church family will be in my prayers.
I am currently in northern california and we were hoping to get some of that beautiful snowfall. No such luck. It is wonderfully cold and blustery, though. I am kind of dreading the return to my palm tree winter wonderland of San Diego. I do miss the husband, though.
Take care, Mimi.
Mimi, what a tragedy. Deacon Joseph is, and shall remain, in my prayers.
I'm interested in coming up to attend the funeral, but my own grandpa's burial and memorial service are to take place this weekend... might be a bit much for me. :(
Take care, my friend!
Snow! I'm jealous. It's just cold (for CA) and wet, here.
Glad X is doing better.
Snow :-)
Much better than hailstones, that`s for sure !
I`m glad things are settling down at home.
My prayers continue for your parish at this time of sadness.......
So happy things are also better with your Xavier...its an up and down thing...hold on for the little roller coaster ride! He knows you love him! ;)

Prayers coming your way!!
Thanks for posting that picture. So beautiful--makes me miss Oly...
So sorry to hear about your deacon...may you and your parish find comfort and healing in the Lord this week.
I am so sorry to hear the news about Dn. Joseph. May his family and your church community receive comfort at this difficult time.
