First Day of Fall Today is the first autumn day. It truly feels like someone has turned a switch - I can't believe that only three weeks ago it was summer.

Now, the leaves are turning and starting to fall.
I've turned on the heater for the first time
It's dark when I get out of bed (this will change for a few days after we "fall back" but then will be the norm until about April or May)
Sweaters are becoming required
I've swapped out the summer clothes for winter clothes
And, the biggest sign - I've been turning on the seat warmers in my car!

Enjoy Fall! It's the time to read a good book in front of the (in our house natural gas) fire.

I'm still running around in short sleeves, linen pants, and flip flops out here in eastern PA. The high was 84 today. Low 44 tonight. The leaves have just a hint of yellow to them. Fall is approaching.

It was 92 here in NorCal today - sweaters are just a dream. But it's dark when I wake up and I get to see the sunrise now and then, and some mornings I pull a light jacket over my tank top before my morning walk. Leaves and acorns are beginning to fall on the roof. Enjoy - I know how you like the cooler weather! Happy fall!

Oh no....the heater??
*sigh*
I love fall but it leads to you know what? Don't get me wrong...love the holidays and all that, but January and February...bleh, bleh, bleh!

And here in North TX as we batten down the hatches for Rita? 102 today, heat index even more.

Yee haw.

I am doing the reading, though; just picked up the Pilgrim duo at the downtown library for a re-read.

It went down to 40 degrees here one night this week. Brrr...But we're still having nice warm days. I can't wait for the New England fall foliage.
