It's been a week Someone coughcoughCherylcoughcough pointed out that it has been a week since I last posted. I have no excuse, either; it's not been a quiet week, in fact, just the opposite.
Last Saturday, I went to Slavic Liturgy and afterwards had a nice lunch with Dawn - I have to say, what a neat thing Blogging is. Here I've met someone who is my age, has similar interests as me, and is an enjoyable email and in person pal - and she's going to come over and make cards with me soon! Yay! She also has some great picture of the Bishop's visit to her parish on her Photo Blog. Go look.
Tuesday, the Bishop was at our Parish (for our Parish's Feast Day September 13). I wasn't able to attend Liturgy on Tuesday morning, but that evening, the Vigil for the Holy Cross was held. Since the Bishop was there, there was the special Elevation of the Cross with 500 Lord Have Mercies beautifully sung by our choir. Dawn traveled down with her priest and several of their parish members, and it was good to see her. The service itself was beautiful, although my kids complained throughout the entire service (just think kids, in thirty years, you'll be able to say you were at the Vigil with Bishop Benjamin! Somehow, that didn't sooth souls).
Xavier had a baseball game on both Wednesday and Thursday night (they won both of them - he says there Unbeatable, I say they are Unbeaten). He's becoming friendly with a new neighbor kid, and I met his parents at Thursday's game, so that was nice.
Friday was baseball practice, Cedric went to the Mall and B&N on the bus, and Xavier had a friend spend the night.
Saturday, I ended up going into the office for a bit, and Sunday was a nice Church Day.
Whew!
Oh, and I'm loving Macca's new album - it's much slower than I expected, but enjoyable all the same.

Sounds like a super, family week. :)
Don't feel bad about getting behind on your blog; I'm guilty of it too. :) It sounds like you had a wild and crazy week with all that you had to do; I can definitely relate to that. Just wanted to say hello....
