During Holy Week, I slipped on my serviceable but boring (read dark green cotton) apron over my outfit to keep it clean for Church that night while making soup and biscuits. Eddie came home and thought it was so cute that I was wearing an apron, and mentioned several times how cute I was.

So, guess what? It’s National Wear An Apron day on May 14th, and to celebrate, I’m ordering an original Kitchen Madonna Apron. I have a couple of things to do this weekend, and then I’ll get the order in first part of next week – it should be here in time. I want the Elisabetta Strolls Fashion Park. Much cuter than “serviceable but boring”, don’t you think?

Oh, I love aprons, sadly, I always have liked them. I should order a new one as well for the occasion!

I'm going to order one too! Aren't they adorable? I'll be the envy of every kitchen madonna I know around these parts! Frankly, I think they look cute too...they can hide alot of plumpy things on me! LOL!

I can't believe there is actually a wear your apron day. I feel so left out because I don't have an apron!

I am so gonna wear the apron I made that day, maybe even take a picture even though it needs a few alterations that I am just not skilled enough to try to tackle.

How I love vintage aprons! I may have to get a new one to celebrate... the one you linked is very cute, and I'm also digging the Jessie Steele collection. (I think that Chef Onyx one wants to be mine...)

I live in my apron (well, I'm wearing a few other things too). I've got to find more fun ones. Here's one...basic, but gets the point across: http://www.wackyplanet.com/whoarethkian.html

I'm sticking with the one my oldest son (now 32) made in middle school home ec. Deep blue paisly. It's the kind that goes over the head and has big pockets.
LOVE IT!

I've got that Fashion Park waiting for you Mimi! Anyone can find gorgeous aprons for cheap at ebay or etsy.com or at your local thriftstore. I think it would be a hoot if we all take pictures with our aprons on that day. I've seriously forgotten I've had one on when I've picked my son up or gone to the store. Oh, well, aprons happen!

If anyone needs help making one, just email me! I have a 1-800-make-your-own-apron number too! LOL
