I have been hesitant to post this request, because I find that I have a problem with feeling like I’m complaining or whining to ask for prayers (this also extends to feeling like the answer to “How are you?” is always “Fine”.) When I was talking about this to the lovely
Deb, she said “That’s what we blog friends are for – to be here during the good, the bad and the ugly. So, in the spirit of her words, I wanted to let people know that my mom has been undergoing treatment for her
second bout with breast cancer. I have been so amazingly touched by those bloggers who keep her in
their prayers,
ask after her regularly, put her on their parish
lists, and generally
check in with me.(This is not a complete list, and know that each and every one of you is written on my heart. And, I even had a friend pray for her at the
Wailing Wall. I am still reduced to tears by that gesture)
Thank you to all who keep her in your prayers and me too – some days, it feels like that is all that is holding me up. And, if you could definitely think of her on Wednesdays, that is her treatment day.
And, mom, I love you!

hang in there...
You know that your Mother and yourself continue to be on my mind, in my heart and in my prayers.
May God pour out his grace upon you both so that you may continue to support, comfort and offer reassurance to one another. And may Almighty God pour His Healing Spirit upon your dear Mother, so that if it be His will, she may be healed completely of this disease, and may your dear mother be strengthened so that she may face these difficult days knowing that Christ is on her, and by her, side.
God Bless you and comfort you and give you peace.
(((hugs))) x 2 (((for both of you)))
Wow! I know you are close to your mom, I will put her on my prayer list.

Your dear mom is definitely on my prayer list! I have been reluctant to ask for prayers too but now I will.

Although I'm quite sure an omnicient God would know who I meant if I prayed for "Mimi's mother", would it be ok to know your mom's full name to add her to my prayer roll?

I haven't been to your blog lately so I am just now hearing about your mom's cancer. I am so sorry that she is dealing with it a second time. I will definitely put her on our prayer list. My mom goes to a prayer meeting with her friends weekly and I'll be sure to have my mom add her to their prayers.
Prayers going out to you and your family... HUGS!!!
Thanks, babe, for the request for prayers and support. I know it's really hard on you, especially to be so far away, and I'm not always the best at keeping you up on things. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well. Love you very much and appreciate you, too! And thanks to all your friends (you lucky thing, you!) for the prayers -- there can never be too much support!
Praying for you and your mom and your whole family.
We will definitely add her to our prayer list. Thank you for sharing this.
Mimi:
I will try to keep on remembering your mom in my prayers as well. And Happy Anniversary (belatedly!).
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ. 6 Now if we are afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effective for enduring the same sufferings which we also suffer. Or if we are comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. 7 And our hope for you is steadfast, because we know that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so also you will partake of the consolation.
- St. Paul, on suffering, in 2 Corinthians Ch. 1
Mimi, Blogger was being temperamental and wouldn`t let me post a comment when you first posted this, but I have also been praying....
You and your mom are in my thoughts. I'm so sorry.
