Quick Sunday Three

1) It's like deja vu all over again. Sigh. From Yahoo News

After launching a much-hyped reunion with all five original members, new wave pioneers Duran Duran have announced that guitarist Andy Taylor is once again leaving the band, just as he did in 1985.

2) Good Job, Cardinals!
We enjoyed watching the games, although I certainly expected the Tigers to make a better run at it. And, can we say ouch to the 5 pitcher's errors in 5 games? Yikes.

3)Food for Thought from St. Makarios of Egypt (The Philokalia Vol. 3; Faber and Faber pg. 285):
"We receive salvation by grace and as a divine gift of the Spirit. But to attain the full measure of virtue we need also to possess faith and love, and to struggle to exercise our free will with integrity."

Happy Sunday!

Oh, but you know, Krystyn, they'll learn from all their mistakes, and eventually come back better than ever. At least they are the tops in their League, and the second-best in baseball this year.

After reading this post I looked around, trying to find what reason was cited for Andy Taylor's leaving, I found nothing... maybe Mr. Taylor was reminded that sometimes you can't go back to what once was.

Or maybe he was confused being in a band with so many guys named "Taylor" in it...

Now I have always been suspect of Andy; he never takes his sunglasses off! It is sad that they finally got Roger to come back to the band and now Andy leaves---again. I guess one truly can't bring the '80s back :(
