Like the crafty Black Apple , I was blessed to spend the weekend with my lovely mom and we were craftyish by attending the CKC in Seattle(ish).
While this doesn’t bode well for the economy, many of the booths were having great sales, I got some Cocoa Daisy stuff (thanks mom!), found my annual ornament supplies at Melissa Francis and Embellish It and took some great classes from the aforementioned Embellish It and Technique Tuesday (where I have some stamps on backorder). I also had a Rusty Pickle class that had some issues, and was treated to incredible customer service from the company. Thank you, you rock! We also had lunch with my aunt and cousin-in-law, and then I had a class with them as well. Good times were had by all.
It was sad to see my mom go, but we had a great time together, and she enjoyed visiting with the husband and kids too. Unlike a good scrapper, I didn’t take any photos. But, it has been a bit since I’ve really scrapped, and I needed this shot in the arm, I’m brimming with exciting ideas, and sadly not brimming with time to put them into action.

On a side note, my previous post wasn’t meant to be a “Please Validate Me” post, but I was truly touched at your kind comments. I teared up while reading a lot of your posts, and am truly blessed to “know” everyone. Thank you!

God Bless!
Have fun crafting! I'm hoping to do a bit next week.
nice!
you are loved.
I'm so glad you had a great time. I've never been to one of the UK's big crafting events yet, but then, i'd have to save up first as i am a hopeless window shopper. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Glad to hear your mum is doing well!
It is in our creativity that we can see the image of God in us so clearly. I hope you have a little time to dive in to your creating!
Blessings to you, Mimi!
Lucky you! So, did you take any classes or just peruse the booths? I went to one in Jacksonville, FL a few years ago, took an SEI, Michael Miller and Scrapworks class, but had fun doing the FREE make-n-takes on the vendor faire, too. I wish one would come to Cincinnati, OH!
Can you show us your work? I mean, efforts? I would love to see what you do with your artsy stuff. Thanks.
OMG, it's snowing! knew it was freezing this morning when I went out to clean up after the dog. :)

Did I mention I was envious?? LOL. I'm especially coveting the Melissa Frances stuff--will you post your ornaments when you get them done, please?
I always love spending time with my mom, and when one doesn't get to do it often, seems like one cherishes it all the more. I'm glad you got to have fun with her!
I love CKC! How fun to go with your mom!
