Many Happy Years! I am no longer spilling the beans when I give a big shout out of "Congratulations" to my sister and her now-hubby! They pulled off a quiet and very small wedding on the Beach in Santa Cruz on Saturday!
So, Congratulations and Best Wishes! Wish we had been able to be there!
In your honor, my favorite love poem, from Anne Bradstreet.
If ever two were one, then surely we.
If ever man were lov'd by wife, then thee.
If ever wife was happy in a man,
Compare with me, ye women, if you can.
I prize thy love more than whole Mines of gold
Or all the riches that the East doth hold.
My love is such that Rivers cannot quench,
Nor ought but love from thee give recompence.
Thy love is such I can no way repay.
The heavens reward thee manifold, I pray.
Then while we live, in love let's so persever
That when we live no more, we may live ever.
I love this photo, their son wanted to be held in the middle of the ceremony, isn't that cool?

Awesome! Congratulations to your sister! (That just so happens to be my favorite love poem, too. Especially how you have to pronounce "persevere" kinda funny to make it scan.)
oh yay!!!! congrats to your sister!!!
many years!
Many Years to the newly-weds ! and congratulations to you on acquiring a new family member :-)
Thanks Mim that was a wonderful poem. And thanks for keeping it under wraps! Wish you could have been there.
Love to all.
Meg
Ooh, how exciting! Now you can make them a wedding scrapbook.
I hope that they have a wonderful life together.
That's awesome - beautiful picture.
How sweet!
Nice poem... I've never come across the word "recompetence." A variation of recompense, perhaps?
Happy Thanksgiving!
How wonderful! I love Santa Cruz!
Many happy years to them!
Hope that you had a happy turkey day.
P.S. Yours is the only that I must read all entries that I missed during my absence. *wink*
I was organizing...what can I say?
I'm challenged that way...LOL.
shhhhhhhhh...keep that to yourself...k??
Hey Molly - now I'm saying it per-sever just like you pointed out.
Helena - I think that was a typo on the site I grabbed the poem off, it should be "recompense".
Thank you for your well wishes for my sister, I *know* she's seen them (hi Meg!)
