O Christ God, You have ascended in Glory,
Granting joy to Your disciples by the promise of the Holy Spirit.
Through the blessing they were assured
That You are the Son of God,
The Redeemer of the world!
Today we complete the Paschal season with the Ascension of our Lord. The mission in my town is Holy Ascension Mission, so it was our Feast Day. We were blessed to have Bishop Benjamin and many clergy attend.

my priest, father christopher was there! did you get to meet him? i was going to ride down with him, but then it ended up being my first day back at work since the accident.
What juristicion are you in? I am in the Orthodox Church in America and we have a Bishop
Benjamin of Berkely. I wonder if he is the same.
yes, he's the same, we're in the diocese of the west
Dawn - I believe I saw him, but I didn't meet him - there was a priest I didn't know and I had to leave quickly and get to work so was unable to meet.
I'm sorry you were unable to attend, I'd have loved to meet you.

I have really enjoyed looking through your blog today. I wish I could get my hands on your scrap room, so many fun things to play with! I have also liked reading about your religion. So many things to learn!
